Latitude Longitude Card

I made this card as a Valentine's card for my honey, but I've seen other versions of this type of card...you could do as a Father's Day Card with memories with the kids, Anniversary Card, or a Graduation Card with memorable places in the graduate's journey.  The coordinates are latitude and longitude of places you have been together.

Wedding Exploding Box

I made this fun Explo Box for a neice for her wedding this last year.  Her colors were yellow and gray, so I went with those colors.  I used a tea-light inside top layer of cake, and just set it within the roses so it wouldn't slide off to the side, and it could be turned off and on.  I used a Martha Stewart Punch All Over the Page for the lid, and added tags, charms, a calendar, and tabs for her to put some memorable little photos in.  Unfortunately the tea light instructions say they only last about 24 hours, so having it as a night light or décor is out of the question, but it's a fun wedding or party gift box.  I included a tiny gift bag with jewelry I made for her inside also.

A little bit of experimentation with stencils, Distress Inks, Pigment Inks, Stamps, Gel Pens, and gold Pearl Ex Powder Pigment...the Stamps used on left page are from Heartfelt Creations "Italian Grape Clusters" set, and right page flower is from Tim Holtz "Flower Garden" collection.

After being engrossed in Pinterest for any length of time, you realize that you have so many favorite things....so sorry, but my list went on and on, and these REALLY are my favorite things!  Mostly passionate about faith, art, birds, flowers, nature, music, and well....a whole lot more lol!  Those are supposed to be Colorado Aspen trees on the side...

My first Journal Watercolor

My first watercolor and one of my favorite CS Lewis quotes (well, I just recently found out that this quote was actually from George MacDonald, whom Lewis considered a mentor and frequently quoted in his own works...duh....well the picture stands as it was painted until I figure out how to put George MacDonald's name in there lol!) The painting was so much fun!  A friend of mine in Arizona and I decided to do 2 journals, and after we each do 5 or so pages, we trade the journals, and do 5 more pages, then trade again back and forth.  In the end, we will have journals with a little about each of us, and some of the other person's art.  I think I win in this deal, because she is a trained artist, and very talented!!! It is a blast so far! 

Baby Boy - Side Step Card

The Lamb was cut out using Cricut Expression "Wall Décor and More" cartridge, and the Booties and Overalls on Hanger are from "Baby Steps" cartridge.  The mirror is die cut of Spellbinders "Labels Twenty."

Botanical Tea - Card in a Box

Fall Birthday Card

I decided to do a Fall card (idea of bring the outdoors inside with this great door die)....used a neat little cloud making technique I found on Pinterest (cut edge of piece of cardstock or board as cloud puffs, and use as a mask as you rub the blue ink around it...reposition to get variations).  I used Distress Inks.

Princess Card in a Box

I had so much fun making this Princess Card in a Box for our grand-daughter's 4th birthday.  She loves to play princess, so I printed out some Disney Printable Coloring Pages on watercolor paper, colored with Copics, and added glitter, sparklies, liquid pearls, glossy accents, a flower, candles, and balloons. The castle(s) were cut with Cricut using Wall Décor and More cartridge.

Birthday Card Box with Drawer

Have seen quite a few versions of this out there....there is a cute one with an easel card on top.  For this one I basically used a "matchbox" template/design, and added a flap for the card.  Finished box was a little longer and wider than 3 inches.  I added a small spot of (weak) Velcro to hold the card closed.  Here's a good tutorial at "Julie's Stamping Spot."

  Since this was a gift for a crafty friend, I made a bunch of shrinky dink embellishments and baubles (for Christmas or crafts) and put in the drawer.

Peony Explosion Box

I used Spellbinders "Grand Peony" to make the flower for this birthday explosion box, and Graphic 45 Botanical Tea (my absolute favorite) paper collection. 

 

 I added some baubles made out of shrinky dink, some tags with quotes/verses and tabs for pictures, and a 2nd mini box with a jewelry gift inside.  I cut my Explo boxes with Cricut Mini Books cartridge, but they are really easier to make than they look with just some 12X12 papers.  Pinterest has quite a few templates and tutorials.

Explosion Box with Tea Light Birthday Cake

I made this Explosion Box with 2 interchangeable lids, one cut with Cricut Lace cartridge design.  I love seeing the little Tea Light through the lacy lid when it is closed, but note that these little Tea Lights instructions say they only last for about 24 hours of burning.

I added a "shrinky dink" charm and lots of tags with quotes and tabs for pictures.



Shield of Faith "Explosion Box" - Graduation Gift

I just love this little digi from Saturated Canary "Shield of Faith!"...colored with Copics...I typed up Ephesians 6 verses on a scroll and covered with Mod Podge Mat finish and rolled the ends...added a little tealight cake and lots of baubles, tags, and tabs for pictures.



Wedding Card

This is a wedding card that I pretty much hand cut (the Bride and Groom Silhouettes and Gown) tailoring some templates and hand drawing.  I embossed both the box envelope and the dress with Cuttlebug folders.

Dragonfly Birthday Card

The gold embossed dragonfly stamp is Tim Holtz Classic #1 Dragonfly, Pear Set.  The background is Distress Ink (Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean).  I cut Happy out with the Cricut, and stamped birthday. 

 I've seen different versions of the 3D Presents, and it is fun to tailor to match your color scheme...the Philippians 1:6 scripture stamp is from Verve Stamps Plain Jane sentiments.  The Celebrate stamp is from Fiskars Make A Wish Quotes set.

Peacock - Simple Get Well Card

This stamp  is Inkadinkado Peacock, and the sentiment is from Purple Daisy Design.  I used ink markers to get the variety of colors, then added a few touches with Copic Flourescent Orange.

Amazing Grace Sympathy Card

This stamp is Heartfelt Creations Amazing Grace and Book Frame, and I used in a sympathy card.

I embossed in gold and edged with distress Antique Linen.
